I purchased my first kitchenaid mixer in 1978. I'm sorry that I had to replace it. It's like an old friend. This one should last until I can't use it anymore.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We made our first batch of ice cream. (Vanilla, my husbands favorite) I had read the reviews and made sure everything was ice cold. I used the recipe in the book. It turned out amazing! Personally, for just the 2 of us, I would probably 1/2 the recipe.....it just swells up and barely fits in the bowl! I think it was roughly 1/2 gallon of the most delicious soft serve we have ever had! I did take photos but they are on my phone. Plan ahead though. Not something you can do in a day unless your bowl is completely frozen ahead.

I have wanted this mixer for many years. I waited and waited to purchase it because I didn't think I would use it very much. Since I purchased it I find myself using it very much. I Love it. If you are waiting to purchase one, don't wait, it's a great gift to yourself.

I make bread at home and was looking for a stand mixer that wouldn't burn out with the kneading process. I found this one and my husband got it for me for Christmas. It handles the kneading process easily. My bread comes out very nice. Clean up is a snap. So far no problems.
