I have been waiting years to get a KitchenAid mixer, and now that I have one, I am beyond thrilled. It's so simple to use, and I love how powerful it is. Just click it on and let it do the mixing for you while you prep other ingredients or do some cleanup. It makes baking so much faster and enjoyable. And I've gotten so many compliments on the color (Aqua Sky) from friends. Cheerful, without being overly bright. I can't wait to try all kinds of breads and cookie doughs this holiday season. And I'm looking forward to getting the pasta attachment...I've used my mother-in-law's and it's awesome!

I've had my Kitchenaid Artisan mixer a couple of weeks now and have used it for making bread and cookies so far. I start out with the paddle and switch to the dough hook when it starts getting thick. I can hear the motor straining on my heavy 3 loaf raisin bread recipe, but it gets the job done. I like the lock in bowl and the shield that keeps flour in its place. I also have the glass bowl which is wider and holds more. I like the tilt-head, I've never used the other kind. Two of my daughters have Kitchenaid mixers and love them, so I thought I'd get one too. I got the white and they think I'm boring,

My mixer is the best Mother's Day gift I've ever received. It's such a smart tool to have and so convenient - especially for cooking with my kid. Baking with kids requires patients and both hands. With my KitchenAid mixer, I can let the mixer do it's job while I'm busy hunting down ingredients, cracking eggs, or wiping up spills. And it looks great in my kitchen.
