I have an old KitchenAid, but decided I needed a new version. Mistake. The new one is not as heavy, the attachments are not as good/large as the old ones, and the motor sounds like it strains when it has work to do. Personally, I'm sorry I invested the big bucks in the new model.

When I bought this it was supposed to come with a free meat grinder attachment. The reason why I decided to get it. The wrong mixer was sent to me and when I eventually got the correct mixer apparently the offer expired. Also it leaked black oil and took a while before it stopped leaking.

I've had my mixer less than a month and have already made a two pizza doughs, two pumpernickel loaves, two white country loaves, 3 souffles, 1 string of sausages, fresh juice every weekend... it's all just so much easier to do with this thing around! And best of all, it's fairly quiet! We're already saving up for the pasta attachments!
