I've wanted this Kitchen-Aid 5-Quart Artisan Series Mixer for many years, but kept putting it off and buying very inexpensive hand mixers which would almost do the job. Of course the hand-misers I used would heat up with heavy use and eventually burn out. What a waste of time and money.
I bought my Kitchen-Aid mixer and within a week, used it to make oatmeal cookies, Toll House cookies and whipped cream.
It's easy to use (once you read the directions), easy to clean and easy to store.
The mixer is eye-pleasing (mine is yellow) also.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this stand mixer for TWO reasons. One, I needed something to assist me in my bread, cake and sausage ball production. Two, I collect EVERYTHING that KitchenAid makes in red. Visitors to my kitchen marvel at my MANY pieces of red KitchenAid. THAT gives me opportunity to extol the many labor saving virtues of the KitchenAid equipment, especially my FAVORITE piece, the beautiful red stand mixer.
