I received this mixer two months ago and love it. The splash guard is one single piece and it comes in handy. I love having the handle on the mixer bowl. Just think when your making cupcakes or muffins and trying to pour your batter out of a bowl with no handle, your more likely to drop the bowl or slip out of your hand. So the handle is a must for me. I wish it came with one of the attachments so I could try it out to see how the front works. The unit itself is quite heavy so I just leave it on my counter. I was told by a friend that even though it states that the attachments for mixing batter are top rack dishwasher safe, she had the coating come off her batter mixer. And I love the tilt head, it makes it easier to remove bowl. All in all I love my unit and look forward in seeing what else I can use it for.
