I bought this about two months ago and can't figure out why it took me so long to do so. I love my mixer!! I would recommend anyone who is looking at buying one and unsure because of the price you just need to do it!

bought my first one 8 years ago and after years of grinding meat it DIED = so l called KitchenAid and told them what happened and they sent me a NEW one "no charge" l was NOT expecting that as l originally called to order parts to fix mine , its a GREAT machine and a GREAT company

I've had the KitchenAid Mixer for a few years now. I love. I use it for all my baking needs as well other cooking uses it provides. Anything from cakes, cupcakes and banana bread to making mashed potatoes with ease.

I have been married for 37 years, and for most of that time I have had a hand held mixer. I just purchased this before the Christmas holidays to help with baking. I have been very pleased, I can actually walk away from the device while it is mixing and do something else. My handheld mixer was also a popular name brand, but of course, it did not nearly have the power that this mix master does. I debated on buying a new mixer, thinking at this point, how much am I going to use it, but I have used it more then expected and have been pleasantly surprised! By the way, I LOVE the color I purchased, it is called 'Ice' but to me it really seems like Robins Egg Blue, love it :)

First - I have to say. I have a sign in my kitchen that says "Martha Stewart doesn't live here". It really does emphasize my culinary abilities - not my favorite place in the house!
Because of this, I never had a stand mixer but as time went on, I really wanted one. I finally started looking and decided on a Kitchenaid because of the reputation as being the best of the best and longest lasting.
I finally got a 4.5 quart basic model = thinking I won't need anything larger. I was wrong! Within a month, I went back and upgraded to the 5 quart Artisan. The extra .5 quart in the bowl makes a huge difference in whatever I am making and I love the handle on the bowl which the smaller one did not have. It also came with a pouring shield which helps when dumping in the dry ingredients.
I leave this on my counter because its way more convenient and I can use it at the drop of a hat.
My only disappointment is that it is a bit hard to scrape the bowl as it is centered and not offset so i am continually stopping and lifting the machine up. But this is minor. I purchased the beater with the scraper and this does help.
Bottom line - I really wish I would have splurged years ago!

I bought this for my wife and her comments were that "it is perfect and one of the best things you ever bought me". I guess that means forget the 1.5 carat diamond ring, car and dogs I have bought her, what's a guy to do????(lol)
