No kitchen is complete without one. I'm am so happy with mine. I started out with a classic and moved up to an artisan,you pay a little more, but it is worth every cent. Kitchnaid stands behind their products. All small appliances is my kitchen are kitchnaid,and proud of it

Not the mixer of my dreams

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this a few weeks ago, because I couldn't find a repair person for my current mixer. I've only used this once, just the basic features for making a cake. I hated it. It is the most awkward mixer I've ever used. The lock lever and the lever on the opposite side for speeds? The tall, deep size of the one bowl, and no smaller bowl. The bowl lock feature, which as a senior, was very difficult to unlock. The pouring shield was sort of a joke, and I had ingredients all over my counter. I'm hoping to return it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I've used KitchenAid mixers and their Hobart cousins professionally for decades. (I'm a food scientist.) When I decided to give myself a treat this upgrade to my home kitchen was the logical choice. The mixer is great for bread dough, cake batter and cookie dough. And the color really brightens up my kitchen - it's a gem.

I got this for Christmas this year, but I've been wondering if the whole thing is supposed to bounce around when it is mixing? I've never heard of it doing this before and wonder if something is wrong with mine?
