Mostly good

I like almost all things about this printer. However, the one drawback, for me, is the way the paper is loaded. It goes in sideways. Also, the snugness of the paper in the tray is too loose . There is too much play between the back of the tray and front. Just not snug fitting. The back stop has the tabs slanting upwards (curved upwards) so that the paper can be picked up better?? However, in my case that sometimes results in it grabbing two sheets of paper when printing. I then have a clean sheet that I must reload in the paper refill tray. Just a litte annoying.

Good Budget Printer

This Brother printer replaced an all-in-one printer from another brand I have relied on for over a decade but the prices for replacement ink cartridges were astronomical so I decided on this Brother printer where the ink replacements were more budget friendly. The text and images aren't as sharp as the printer it replaced but that's OK since I no longer need that kind of quality often nowadays.
It does the job and is economical. I no longer have to save up for months in order to afford ink cartridges. I would recommend this printer to anyone who is a casual user and don't need to print out high quality images.
I would recommend this to a friend!

BROTHER Copier / Problem

The Brother Copier has worked well. However, 11" x 17" feed in the back has been a problem. I sometimes run these 11" x 17" copies for my part time work and it does not feed correctly at an angle!!! An persistent problem.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Love Brother Printers

I always regret purchase of other brand printers. I purchased this, my third Brother after being frustrated with another printer. It is perfect, compact, easy to operate, and dependable.

Really like my new printer, I have been using it for month or so. Wireless was easily set up. ADF is very handy. Ink usage is so much less than my older HP printer!

Easy install and connection, acceptable printing

The printer was easy to install and connect to my lan. I have another Brother printer and so far no problems or interaction. It also fit into the rather shallow spot I had available. I have had mainly laser printers and this printer is slower and not as sharp as my other printers. It does print in color, although it is a little drab. It prints on 11 x 17" paper which I will find useful, but I have not tried this yet. I also can not report on the longevity of the ink in the printer as I haven't had it long enough yet. I bought this as a second printer to avoid running up the stairs for occasional docs and for the few times I need color output. I wouldn't recommend it as your only printer, but I am happy with it for my purposes.
