Makes a lot of strange howling noise

The Business Smart Inkjet all-in-one works well, however it makes a very loud high pitched noise while it's in-putting the data prior to printing. It sounds like it will break at any time. This is the 3rd reconditioned printer I've been sent as the other two failed. I'm losing faith in Brother even though when it works, it's wonderful.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great copier. One disappointment, though: Very inconvenient when having to copy 8-1/2 X 14 paper one sheet at a time. I frequently have to make 20 or more copies and feeding those pages one by one is time consuming.

Great printer in a small size. Extremely clear and crisp letters and copies. Ability to print letter and legal quickly is a hugh plus all via a wireless connection.

Nice features, good software interface, easy to use, wireless works well. Not fantastic print quality but fine for a business printer. Well built, looks good, quiet and fast operation. Overall would recommend this product.

This printer is fast with excellent color and b&w. Ink seems to last longer than most. But it sounds like a creature from outerspace. It squeaks, squeals, even seems to scream at times and then spits out an excellent copy. Go figure.

Great product, works good, scanning and faxing CCC program is clunky and hard to use. Print quality is good, and photo quality is good. Paper port program that comes with printer is a great program if only the scanning worked. Program will scan the first time then gives indications and progress bars indicating its scanning net go but nothing shows up on the desktop.

When it comes to printing, I have had them all. My last Brothers lasted well over 10 years and the only printer I would ever buy is a Brother. I just purchased the MFCJ4620DW and it is everything I need and reliable.
