Did not last long :(

The printer worked well for the first 1.5 years. Then the color portion stopped even after I purchased new cartridges. My warranty with Brother ended and with the store I purchased it from. The repair cost is just as much as a new printer. I was very disappointed that it did not last long. It was not used on a daily bases for printing.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

brother. I routinely use most of the features and have found them to be very easy to use and they work.

I LOVE THIS PRINTER, BIG BANG FOR THE BUCK. HAD SIMILAR ONE SAME BRAND AND THAT WAS GREAT. THE ONLY PROBLEM IS WITH MY OLD ONE I COULD SCAN 11X17 SHEETS.

I have set this printer to do duplex printing all of the time, but it seems to have a mind of its own choosing to print on both sides just some of the time which is very frustrating to me. I have researched this issue with Brother and others but to no avail. Otherwise it is just an OK printer at best.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This printer services two computers- a PC desktop and a wireless laptop. It has alot of features and most are easy to figure out -but not all. It took a bit of work to sync with the wireless laptop. Now I can't get it to print- probably after some system update, which I haven't had the time to research. I will repeat what I read in a previous review when researching to buy. " it is kind of noisy". yes it is!

Very good machine

I bought this to replace the 4510. So far so good - does everything I want. Three things I don't like: if it has been sitting idle for a while the first time it prints it gives a high whining sound. I thought it was broken but it then works fine. Also don't like the ever blinking home button when it is idle. Finally the wifi light on this one does not glow so I never know if it is indeed connected to wifi. Although it most always is.
