High pitch when printing

For the most part, I like it ! When printing the printer, will make a high pitch humming . I used it to print a picture, it worked fine!

Great printer - when it works

This is my second Brother printer, and I am generally very happy with their design, and option of individual color cartridges. I bought this one because of the e-print functionality, which I love. But I frequently have to unplug it to reboot - it often stops in mid print-job and the on/off button does not work, nor does it respond to any other menu options. And, once I reboot, I usually also have to re-establish the wifi connection.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Well let me put this mildly, this is the slowest printer scanner that I have ever owned! And if you even think about printing pictures, don't. The pictures look like a printer that cavemen used!
Now don't get me wrong Brother makes some GREAT printers, I had a wireless laser printer that was just black toner and I loved that printer but lightening HIT it last year and blew it up.
This printer is just not what I thought I would get that Brother made! So if you want me to recommend this one to someone, forget it! Sorry!

Very fast with great features. Easy setup by downloading the driver. What I especially like is the reasonable cost of the ink cartridges. I will never go back to the competition.

Good all round printer. I love that you don't have to go and flip the pages manually for 2 sided printing. Really is easy on the ink too! Will be trying out the 11X17 printing soon. I am bothered though by this high-pitched sound it makes if it has been a couple of days since the last time you printed. Some times it is pretty load! Anyone have an idea why that happens? It is my only gripe about the printer.

Good Product--But Qirky

Works well and as advertised BUT much research and weeding through FAQs and comments might have been avoided. The quick start guide and the manual should point out that communication between the printer and the computer will be regularly lost if the 2.5 and the 5 ghz network names are the same, for example xxxxxxxxx and xxxxxxxxx-5g. Once I changed the latter, as a FAQ or comment pointed out, the issue disappeared. Communication still gets lost occasionally. I can't put my finger on why but it's easy to restore and I can live with that.

Love a good working machine!

This printer outshines all the many printers i have had over the years. I have it in the Den, send a print from anywhere in the house, and by the time I get there, its waiting on on me. No issues, always ready, no jams, what more could I want?
I would recommend this to a friend!
