Fast double side printing on tabloid sized paper.

Amazingly affordable double side color printing on letter sized to 11X17 paper. So far I haven't tried anything but letter sized, but it grabs paper without jams or double feeds. Small enough to fit on my desk while looking very sleek. Setup was easy with supplied CD and touch-screen LCD menu. Thank you Brother for creating drivers for older operating system (I am running Windows 7).

Ink cartridges are easy to change, which is a good thing since it is shipped with starter color cartridges (though a full black cartridge) which run out prematurely. Genuine Brother ink is overpriced, but I bought some anyway because the OEM cartridges are oil based where clone cartridges are usually water based. Water based ink tends to dry out and clog nozzles if the printer is not used every day. OEM oil based ink cartridges are more tolerant of occasional use and I don't want to wreck my new fancy printer. If OEM ink were cheaper I would give this printer 5 stars instead of 4.
To date I have been using this printer for about 3 months or so. No problems. DB

Not a Printer for Urgent prints

Ink issue is always there. no matter how new ink you will buy, so Brother should top this printer model and avoid getting black listed

Eats ink and gets clogged frequently

The worst printer I have owned. It wastes ink, I'm not sure where ink is being used because I don't print more than 10 pages a year. Yet it manages to be out of ink all the time. When I install a new cartridge it immediately shows 1/4 less ink, meaning it never shows ink to be full. Then it barely prints anything - pages are blank or barely visible. So I have to clean the nozzles and print head. Well, those processes consume all the ink in the newly installed cartridge! This printer is a joke!
