Compact but loud!

I had several Brother printers and MFC units and loved them. They worked well and had very few issues but this one is so noisy. It works great but so noisy when it prints !

I'm only giving this 3 stars because so far I've just printed in basic grayscale. I know I haven't come close to tapping into its full potential. The first time I used it I was amazed by how quickly it printed. I used the Bluetooth to print for my iPad and it worked very well. Very satisfied by it. Plus it looks great!!!

Over all this has been an excellent and flawless printer. The wireless and cloud printing features are awesome! My only grip is when the printer initiates the printing process, it is a little loud.
I would recommend this to a friend!

GREAT REASONABLY PRICED PRINTER

I especially like the scanning capability of this printer. You can scan a page from a book, for example, into a Word file that is editable. It also prints pretty fast for this price.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Hate pop up updates

We are enjoying our printer but when I opted for the desktop notifications I wasn't expecting to see this pop up each and every time I log in.
I am not a geek and hate the intrusion. I select products for my convenience ; not to annoy me. I find it hard to believe that this program has to be updated each and every time I turn on the computer.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I do a lot of scanning, it does a good job. Wish I was able to do double sided scans. Makes a bit more noise than I anticipated, even in silent mode. Otherwise I am satisfied with the printer.

MFC-J4620DW Great Machine-except one little gripe

Extremely happy with the machine -- except for the need to feed card stock from the flip-out tray at the back. You need to set and re-set the piece of paper to get it to grab on to the sheet -- and then sometimes it just sends it right thru without printing. So you set and re-set again. Very time-consuming. Also -- if you need to print multiple items through the back feeder -- bad news. It only lets you feed one sheet through the back feeder at a time..... Love the machine -- hate the back feeder!

Works Flawlessly

While the printer works flawlessly every time a simple change is made in my home network the printer and all of the various devices have to be reset, and the key changes such that you have to call support each and every time.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
