So far it has done every thing I have ask it to do. This is may second Brother print that I have off site, I think they are bullet proof printers.

Regardless how I follow the instructions it leaves blank spots on the letters on the left hand side the page.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Brothers vs HP comparason

Recently we purchased the BROTHERS laser printer from staples. We have had a HP Officejet Pro 8500 A910 (color printer) for several years. Just wanted a least lower cost black and white printer.
1. The BROTHERS printer did not have a hard copy manual.
2. We still have not figure out how to scan items and save as a digital file.
3. Attempted to make a PDF scan of a multipage document, but was not successful.
4. Made a black and white copy of a document on the BROTHERS printer and the HP Officejet printer. The Officejet made a better copy.

Reliable

I had a problem getting it up and running, but I contacted Support and received a prompt reply--less than 24 hours. I followed instructions and my problem was quickly resolved. This little baby is quick and reliable. The price was very good it has all of the features I want and need.

Brother App recent update AWFUL

I have had this printer for a couple of years and loved using it with my iPad BUT last week the app was updated. Now the printer stays asleep and won't print! I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app numerous times. It worked great until this update.

I have been able to accomplish many tasks without stress that I could not make my old Brother Printer do. Scanning, Two sided printing, fixing paper jams and many functions were easy to install and work.
I would recommend this to a friend!

We've alway had color printers before and this is the first black and white lazer printer we have owned. We are happy with the sharpness and clarity of the printing and speed of the printing.
