Fast enough for my basic needs (bill payment records, document print-outs, order invoice records) Inexpensive and simple black and white prints with the benefit of saving a digital scan IN COLOR. Versatile connection methods via WIFI, browser.

Best ever!

I have had five printers in my last three years since I've been freelancing. All different brands. All different features. I've pitched them because there were minor problems with each and every one of them - most often it was because they sucked ink like there was no tomorrow and I was tired of having to go buy ink all the time. Enter my Brother Laserjet - fast, reliable, all the features I want, huge capacity. PERFECT!!! I can tell this one is going to be around a long time. My brother-in-law (an accountant) recommended this printer to me - couldn't say enough good things about it.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Ok with two major flaws

1. Small footprint

Minues:
1. Not nearly enough toner capacity. You will be reluctant to print stuff as it gets expensive.
2. Font prints very light. So to get decent print you need to max out the density adjustment which in turn uses gobs and gobs of toner.

The previous 1. and 2. represent major design flaws.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

ease of set up and operation

I love this printer. It sets up in no time flat and it responds as good if not "better" than other printers I've had. If you don't mind black / whites its a great choice.

Fast and 2-sided printing

This was a replacement for an office 2-sided printing Brother laser printer that died after 12 years of moderately heavy use. It was so reliable that when I saw a sale on this new printer, again with 2-sided printing, AND a scanner for copying--I jumped at the chance. It works as advertised. I haven't tried wireless printing---but it does a fine job of copying and 2-sided printing---highly recommended.

The printer is a very good printer. I especially like the save paper & save ink features of the Printer! The clarity of the print is excellent & the speed is phenomenal this Printer is an all around Great Buy!

Wonderful little printer for the price

Other than some wireless connectivity issues that proved time consuming to get machines to talk to each other, this printer/copier has performed very well for 5 laptops operating in three offices
