Love the wireless xapability

Great overall printer. Had a few problems with the deep sleep but tech department was able to help me.

Versatile, and economical

Have not had it long enough to give it 5 stars but so far I'm pleased with it. I have yet replace a toner cartridge but it seems there are plenty of alternatives to the pricier Brother brand.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Works Great

I was able to pick this printer up on sale at best buy, and I couldn't turn down the chance to finally get a laser printer. 95% of my printing needs are in black/white and having wireless connectivity simplified the install, which made my purchase well worth the price I paid.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Everything I expected in an inexpensive laserjet. Quiet enough, good paper volume, able to duplex, etc.

Hardware Happy, Software Sad.

First laser printer for use at home after years with an inkjet. So far, image quality is very good (let's give prints an 80/100) and scans are surprisingly good (90/100). Job speed is also very good. On only my 4th printout, repeated blotches running down the right side were a cause for concern, but Google had the answer and I had the perfect remedy (non-woven gauze pads). The touchscreen interface works well enough to produce little agita. Only time will tell how long all that plastic holds up, there are very few metal parts.
The bundled software is where Brother stumbles. Brother's installation instructions are a combination are obtuse and conflicting. The Acresso software updater for PaperPort is broken out of the box on this Win10 machine.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great Value for a Versatile Printer

I needed a printer/scanner downstairs in my home, and, after owning two other Brother printers, this one exactly fit my needs. Wireless connectivity meant I could put it out of way, but always have access to it. Automatic duplexing is an added plus.
My sole criticism is that, when scanning, the scanner does not "read" all the way to the edge of the glass. I can adjust the position of my original -- but I should not have to.
I would recommend this to a friend!
