The way it should be

This printer was delivered to my door and I had it set up and running within the hour. Yes, I did read the instructions. Wireless set up was a breeze, please note I'm not a computer type person and I still remember the nightmares of trying to get peripherals to work back in the day on my E machine desktop. Times have changed and this printer is a dream to set up and operate. The quality and speed of printing are both excellent. My wife has a Brother embroidering machine and suggested we try the printer, talk about brand loyalty! Will look to Brother for future purchases.

I purchase this laser printer after my injet printer stop working and I am so glad I did. I could spend time on why some inkjet printers are not cost effective, but instead I will talk about my Brother laser printer. Although it is much bigger than most inkjet printers; it would be great for your college student because it saves on ink and paper (two side printing). My first hurdle was set up which was quite simple once I learned to use the touch screen (awesome). Printing speed is excellent, scanner is excellent, but my only issue is on startup of the unit from sleeping. The startup causes a power surge and the light to flicker in the room. I also own a brother MFC fax/copier/phone and five other items for many years now and it is still going strong. I highly recommend brother products because I believe they are built to last and saves money and time.

It's reliable.

After six months, I finally had my first problem. I was sloppy reloading paper and that caused a jam. My PC received the error message and the printer told me what to do to clear the problem. I am impressed and pleased.

I bought this printer for my personal home office. It fits the bill for that use. The price was reasonable and the compact size makes it nice for using in a home office where space may be limited. So far, I have had no problems & I would recommend it.

I have had this machine for a couple of months, and it works very well. It takes a bit of time to warm up on start but I guess that is to be expected with a laser model
