Good Printer Difficult Set Up

This printer replaced an old Brother Laser. The printer is great, but the wireless set up leaves something to be desired. My recent HP printer found my network and I input my password and done. This printer wants to do a much less secure automatic set up. To set up on a secure network you have to drill down through menus that aren't outlined in the manual. Then go to advanced settings to put into a secure network. Instructions would have been nice if it can't be done as simply as HP. I think this is the reason other reviewers had to wake the printer up or turn it off and back on each time they wanted to use it wirelessly.

Great product, easy to use

Finally gave up on inkjets and dried print heads. 99% of all my printing was totally acceptable in black and white so this was a no brainer. Should have made the purchase a long time ago.

For price and quality you can't beat a Brother. This HL-L2380DW printer, like the two other Brother printers I own, have always been 100% reliable. I can't say that about other brands I've used in the past.

nice printer but won't stay connected wirelessly

Printer works well except keeping it connected to the router. All computers (5) struggle as the printer does not stay connected to our wireless system. We have to re-connect daily and even several times a day. Once connected the printer will print, but soon becomes unconnected to router. We have two routers and the printer will not stay connected with either one.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Scanner loses USB connection

Scanning is dicey, more often than not you have to restart the PC to re-establish the USB connection. It prints nicely but... I have tried all of the Brother solutions suggested by the support team and it still has issues with the scan to folder function. Perhaps a new computer would work better.

This unit does not operate on the wireless system I cannot get it to work I have tried four different operations online on the phone and starting over and illuminating everything and starting over again four times very frustrated not happy
