The printer is OK. HOWEVER, it often goes "offline" and lost the saved settings and I have to go ahead and add my preferred settings again. The printer is also noisy at times. It is sometimes so noisy that I have to unplug it. I am a BIG fan of Brother's printers, specially their Black & White printers, however I am not too pleased with this printer!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Best B&W Laser Printer for the money

Prints flawlessly. Toner refills are efficient and inexpensive. Really great value for your basic B&W everyday printer.

Great printer!!

I use it to print my sermons, which don't have color or pictures, which is why I wanted it. I an use it without having to buy ink cartridges every other month or so. It is fast too. My only complaint is that it doesn't work so great with Linux, but it works GREAT with Windows. My only compliant. The duplex printing feature is great to save paper too!
