Got this to replace a HP that died after 6 years. Needed a laser with straight path for art papers. Also for my B/W Letter printing printing.

unit turns itself off and we have to trouble shoot it to turn back on other wise unit ok

Performs all of its functions very well. Excellent print quality. Fast scanning. My only tiny quibble has nothing to do with the printer itself, but with the driver for the iMac. Always defaults to 2 sided printing. Was almost ready to call Brother to ask why the setting for 2 sided printing set to OFF on the printer was not working. Then I realized that it was just the Mac that was doing that. Windows works fine.

I only use it for my crafting like foiling and it Works really good .. the only downside is the ink cartridge is so expensive that I would sometimes just go to the office supplies store to print since they used laser .. but over all its a good product and would recommend this with my fellow crafters and friends

Easy to set up, works!!! What more do you want from a printer? Also, takes a lot of paper, doesn't seem to jam; prints a ton on the included cartridge and the new one is supposed to print lots more than that.

I love my new printer. It copies and scans great. It is a great printer it can do double sided when needed. I fits on my desktop perfectly and works fantastic!
