Simple to set up, simple to use, good scanner

I don't print much and I used to use an ink jet color printer. It was annoying and expensive to always be replacing the cartridges, and when I wanted to print in black only it would give me error messages that it was out of red or yellow ink! From what I read on line, this brother printer was easy to set up for wireless printing. That was true. It has never given me any error messages and I am still using the toner cartridge that it came with. I especially like the scanner feature, which allows me to choose the resolution (150 to 600 dots per inch) and scan color, grey scale, or black and white, with controlled contrast.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Software issues

Machine always goes into sleep mode no matter how you adjust the time setting after a minute when using an I Mac.

This is a great printer. I finally got tired of the messy expensive ink jet cartridges and switched to this Brother HL-L2380DW after the suggestion of my son who has used a Brother laser printer for years and having used this printer at my work place. I'm glad I did. I stopped printing in color years ago and only need to print black. The printer was a breeze to set up on my wi-fi connection, prints quickly and the print looks great. The only negative I can say (and that's a very slight negative) is that the scanner doesn't do a fantastic job. but I'm used to using a dedicated scanner which I still do when I need high res scans. Overall this is a great printer. I highly recommend it.
