Fast!

This printer is blazingly fast compared to the mono laser it replaced. It also holds a large quantity of paper that makes printing very large documents (100+ pages) less of an effort.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Terrible Printer

I will NEVER buy another brother printer again! It goes into sleep mode and every time I want to print I need to re-connected to the Internet. I've called your technical support three times and no one is able to help me what a waste of money.

Very good value

I have not used my printer that much yet, but I have been pleased with its performance so far. It is quite fast and text printing is good, while graphic printing is fair.
A couple of suggestions:
1) Read the installation instructions on the CD or download the latest drivers BEFORE connecting the printer to your computer.
2) Like other laser printers, this one can draw up to 10 amps of power for brief periods of time (when first turned on and when starting a print job). I have it connected to a different electrical circuit than my computer.
3) Setting up custom print modes is not that intuitive. Read the instructions carefully and it does work.

Easy to Use

This product is a reasonable price, compact in size, versatile, easy to use. If not used often or left for a few months the powder will not dry out. Good buy for Snowbirds.

Great printer when it works.

My fourth Brother Laser Printer. All but this one have performed flawlessly. This one keeps dropping the wireless connectoon. Prints a document and a minute later loses the wireless connection. Extremely frustrating!!!

What a bust

Had this for 6 months, keeps turning on and off. Power on button does not work, unplug then plug it back in and it keeps recycling, not possible to print or scan. Have had other Brother printers that worked well, this is a real dog

Excellent Value

I love this printer! It's quiet, fast and reliable. It's great to be able to do 2-sided printing if desired, but I wish it weren't the default. It's easy to undo, but you have to remember to catch it before printing. Copying is super easy, but scanning is a bit cumbersome. It took me a while to figure out I actually had to do that from my computer. Would like to see that more user friendly. That aside, this is a terrific printer. Print quality is excellent and I am so HAPPY to not have to constantly buy print cartridges. The toner will last me at least a year!
