Great printer!

Easy to set up and operate. Great quality from the get go, so far no issues at all. I don't like using printers other than laser and don't need color printing capabilities. This is the perfect addition to my home office.

Easy Set up, efficient

This printer is saving us a lot in color cartridge costs. Easy to fill paper tray, very easy changing toner cartridge.

Performs as promised

The unit is easy to set up and use. There’s nothing tricky and it works with my Mac, iPad and iPhone on a wireless network, with AirPrint. I can print tax forms and PDF form fills with ease. The accompanying available software (optional) works well with my Apple products too. It’s a bit power-hungry when starting a print job.

Not as good as previous brother printers

When printing the printer makes a high pitch noise that we cannot turn off and also during this high pitched noise all actions on every computer shutdown during this period. This is very aggravating and none of my other brother printers has this issue.
I would have thought with the scan feature the printer would have come with a USB port to give the option to scan to a USB drive...

Other than these two MAJOR issues it is a good printer. Note: The noise issue is the reason for the 3 stars.

It was only AFTER purchasing a Chromebook that I discovered that I needed a cloud ready printer. And although I already own 2 Brother Laser printers, I was told that now I needed a cloud ready wireless printer! After doing a lot of research and reading tons of reviews, I decided to purchase a HL-L2380DW because I really like Brother's reputation for dependability. Now believe me when I say that as far as technology and computers go, I'm about a 2 on a scale of 10, so to say the least, I was a little more than concerned that I would actually get this thing to work. However, after reading and rereading the set up instructions several times and checking out several Youtube videos, I set it up perfectly the FIRST time and I was thrilled!! It works absolutely flawlessly. I love this printer and it's a comfort for me to know that if I have any problems in the future, Brother is always there to help me. Thanks Brother for a great product.

My Brother broke down

Regrettably, my Brother copier threw some kind of gasket. My understanding from a computer guy is that the type problem it was having with the roller was such that is was not worth fixing. I needed a printer at my office immediately, so I went out and bought an HP printer because I was not willing to chance another Brother. I hate this because I have had three other Brother printers, and they have all been excellent.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
