Excellent Printer at Great Price.

This is an excellent printer at a great price. Its features of copy and scanning in addition to printing are great features. Being wireless means that with my IPad anywhere in house along with my laptop I can send documents for printing from anywhere in our house. Highly recommend Brothers products. This is the 5th printer I have purchased under the brand name of Brother in the last 20 years. All reliable and dependable at great prices.

Cloud Ready NOT

This printer is a big disappointment. I bought it because of the Cloud Ready feature, which I have yet to get working, or even to get to work wireless over my home network.
Previoslyy I had a HL2270DW that worked fine as a wireless printer and I could use it with my Google Chrome box and Chrome Book, but I could not use it without a host Windows based sysem and I wanted to get away from that dependency. I also have a HL2280DW printer copier scanner directly connected to my network.
What I wanted to do is print directly from my Chrome Box or Book to the printer without the windows host. No dice, I have tried every thing and read everything over and over and then some and so far the Chrome Box does not recognize the Cloud Ready HL-L2360DW printer..
My Router is an ASUS RT-AC66U, which works with everything else I have connected to the network.
The documentation provided does not adequatley explain the Menu set up steps on the printer OR even tell you what is suppoesed to happen. I assume that when Wirless Direct is accepted that the the green WIFI light should glow constantly and my Chrome Box or Book will recognize the printer. It does not happen.
I also have a problem with my Samsung phones and tablet recognizing the printer??
"Cloud Ready" seems to be very misleading and certainly over compicated????
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Twice I have waited an hour on hold for tech support, each time spending an hour on the phone with them and my printer still won't work wirelessly.
Since you have repeatedly spammed me to write the review, here you go.

Great Printer

This is the first laser printer I have purchased in ten years or so. The first one is long dead. I have been through several inkjet printers in the meantime. I got tired of buying expensive color inkjet cartridges as most of my printing is B&W. A poor laser printer is always better than a great inkjet when it comes to printing text, both quality and cost. I also do some professional work from home and laser printed documents don't smear as do inkjet printed documents. The two-sided printing also saves on paper so I don't have to fill the 250-sheet tray as often. The only reason it doesn't get 5 stars from me is that I don't THINK (I didn't measure and can't really be sure) the toner cartridge lasted quite as long as I expected. But that could have something to do with my wife printing more than I expected also! (I would have given it 4.5 stars but only whole stars are allowed)

My second purchase for my summer home!

For many years I owned HP ink jet printers keeping one in my northern home and one in my FL home. I got tired of having to buy color cartridges even though both machines were set up for Gray Scale and Draft quality; and also having the cartridges dry out and fail while still full. So, I donated both and purchased Brother Laser Jet printers; and now I no longer am wasting money. The toner cartridges never dry out and last up to 7,000 pages which is a huge savings for me.
I would recommend this to a friend!
