Great printer

Set up the wireless function by myself. Now can use it on our desktop, laptop & ipad. Works great, but is much noisier than our old 9-year old Brother HL-2040. Have not used all of the features yet, but so far am very satisfied with the speed and quality of print. Great printer for the price.

Easy set up. Do all my printing wireless and it works perfect. Cost per sheet is very low compared to ink jet. Will recommend to all my friends.

Great Buy

The HL-L2380DW was easy to install. All features work great with no difficulty. The touch screen works beautiful. This all-in-one is a great feature. I wanted a laser printer so that I'm not running out of ink so fast. I had a Brother printer, lasted a long time so I went out looking for another one. Found the all-in-one and thought, why not. I've not got a bad thing to say about this printer. Great Buy! I rate this product a 10!

needs to be replaced

it works so hit and miss. it has just about gone through the first toner and i have kept maybe 100 copies. It will just go off on its own and try to print an old project and it only puts a little part on the page and does a another one, just keeps going tell it runs out off paper. I have a brothers jet printer and it runs great. I hope they offer to replace the new one with one that is not a lemon.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Linux Compatibility

I bought this printer because it was advertised as being Linux compatible, and at least in my case, it was, but after doing a lot of work.
I run Ubuntu on my PC so getting any product to work with it is always a challenge. However, there are some things that Brother could have done to make it easier. When you are running a Linux distribution on your PC you will never have the convenience afforded to Mac or Windows folks. They can just load some drivers and be ready to go. I also had to load some drivers but additionally I had to edit a configuration file to specifically list the product, and to do that I had to issue the commands needed to become a "super user." Brother did outline the process I needed to go through but in a rather arcane manner. I think they assumed that everyone who uses Linux is also a Linux guru, and that's probably the case for most such users, but as a amateur user, I needed more help to make the process go smoothly.
Bottom line, I've got it all sorted out and must say that I'm very pleased with the printer and its operation.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Oh Brother

I really do like this printer. It was easy to install and set up the wireless. Nice that is duplexing
Drawback it is rather noisy when print and tends to lose the WiFI connection.

Good Buy

I bought the new printer to replace an old HP ink jet printer. I am very pleased with how it works The only problem I have had is that it disconnected from my Wi-Fi and I had to get my son-in-law, who is an IT guy, come over and fix it. I do not know why it happened, I only know that it shouldn't have happened. Other wise this printer works great. It is speedy and what I like a lot the toner is cheaper than ink. You have to consider how many prints you get from each.
