Pretty Good Multi Function Device

This is my first Brother product after having used another brand faithfully for years.
With a couple months of use and a ream of paper use, I am impressed with the speed and quality. The user interface screen is easy to use and intuitive. Scan / copy works great.
The only complaint I have is the gear noise when printing.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Printing by usb cable connected pc great. Printing by wireless network great for win8 laptop, win xp laptop and android tablet! Iffy for android phone? Scan softwate still does not work on windows pc.

Very solid printer

I've had no problem with this printer so far and it is doing everything I wanted in a small, inexpensive monochrome laser. With its support for WiFi, AirPrint, duplex printing, large paper capacity and compact footprint - it's just what I wanted.

Works - most of the time

I bought this product so I could print from both my Microsoft laptop and my iPad. In actuality it always works with the laptop however the iPad is a different story. Wireless interface with the iPad is very spotty. Sometimes it works and sometimes it does not, and I have no idea why. Most mysteriously sometimes it does not seem to work, but then a few hours or even a day later the document mysteriously prints and I don't know why.
However I must say that the brother support team is excellent. They stay with you on the phone and walk you through solutions to any problems. When I first got the machine, I had a number of issues that could not be solved, so they ended up sending me a new machine and prepaid postage to return the old one.

This printer was everything I could ask for. It's easy to ues, quality printing and very affordable. I absolutely love it. Will be purchasing the color printer next!
