Great Features

The printer is very slow & has very long pauses in between printing pages. I need things to print out quickly & efficiently but this printer seems to fail my expectations all the time. I thought I was buying a good all in one but it is not living up to my standards.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Meets expectations.

Was unable to get it operating without having someone out to my location with the technical expertise to install it onto my wifi network.
It doesn't seem to print at the claimed rate of ppm, but I haven't run any scientific tests as I seldom have need to print more than a few pages at a time.

Just a slow printer

Product is very large and for a Brother, not very up-to-date. All scanning printers can store a scan on a memory stick or a memory card so the scan can be transported. Very important. Otherwise, it is just a fair printer.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Not sure; need more info

I like the printer part; but, the scanning utility does not seem as user friendly as my previous HP 4050(?) Photo printer 4 in 1. Example, I can't figure out how to scan a multi-page document. I am hoping I can, but right now I don't see how. Got this to use with students' papers & documents, don't have time to play hide & seek with the software.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Disappointing features

The printer functionality is great, but after about a year of minimal use, the scanner/copier functionality has become useless. A black vertical bar appears whenever I scan or copy a document. I contacted customer support and they said I would need to take it to a certified Brother repair location and pay to have it repaired since it was just outside of warranty. I switched to a laser printer to avoid the hassles that come along with ink jet printers so I'm very disappointed that the scanner/copier functionality let me down so quickly.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Connects to wireless just fine

Was concerned that I would have issues connecting to wireless as I don't have the strongest wireless service and the printer sits in a cabinet.behind closed doors. As a result I bought this model which has an Ethernet plug as backup in case wireless posed a problem. Turns out, I had no issues. Connected to my wireless perfectly. In addition, I also downloaded the brother print app on my iPhone and I can print right from my iPhone just fine. Other computers (windows 10) connect great.
Very pleased.
