Nice printer

This has been a great little workhorse printer for me. I have been very impressed with the quality of the printing - even when I have it set for 'draft' printing. I love the duplexing! Be sure to buy an additional toner cartridge when you buy the printer - they do not tell you that the toner that is in the printer is only good for about 500 copies. I bought the TN-660 (extended) cartridge and have been quite happy that I did. I do a LOT of printing in my research and I love having a printer that is capable of doing duplex copies sitting right behind me instead of having to run to the print store every day or two.
The only problem I have encountered is that, after a power outage, the printer was suddenly no longer available as a network printer; no wi-fi connections. I have been unable to resolve this myself, but do have a cord so have been able to continue using it.

Good Perfomance. Effective 2-sided copying.

I purchased HL-L2360DW as replacement for 2170 model. 2170 gave me many years of good performance. The 2360DW also performs well and has the added feature of automatic 2-sided copying. Possible toner issues: I thought the 2170 gave me warnings on the computer screen when toner was low. I have not received such warnings on 2360DW. Also, I purchased a high-yield toner cartridge but it seemed to run out at less than 2,000 copies based upon reams of paper I have used and even accounting for some 2-sided copying. I'll keep a closer count and I will check to see if anyone else has had the same issue(s).

The 2360 has worked flawlessly for me...it prints well, and even when asleep, it prints within seconds. I like it's compact footprint for a small office space. Highly recommend....

I made the change to a laser printer to upgrade to a network printer, to save on the cost of ink and to improve the quality of the print. I had some trouble getting the printer to connect to my LAN but after ironing out those issues it has been flawless. Toner cartridge holds up very well.

Great printing; Network setup on Mac is awkward

This is my second Brother monochrome laser printer. It's a little faster than my previous model (which was also fast - I gave it to my son). Both do an outstanding job with printing. Both are very economical to use.
This model is somewhat easier to connect to wireless printing on the Mac, but it still requires carefully reading the documentation, printing out settings, and a bit of manual configuration. It should be easier.
Bother has a wireless administration tool for Windows. They need one for the Mac.
Brother's telephone support is outstanding. The on-line help is the most complete of any I've seen from a printer manufacturer (HP, Epson).
