Beautiful kitchen addition

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received my KitchenAid Artisan mixer as a gift from my daughter for Christmas. I was able to use it to make Christmas cookies and was so impressed at how quickly it mixed the ingredients and how smooth the batter was.
I'm looking forward to baking bread and cakes from scratch

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have several kitchen aid products and have loved them all, when it came time to create my wedding registry I almost didn't put this on my list. I figured I don't really bake and its just the two of us....but my mom insisted I register for it. THANK GOD! Once I read up and realized how versatile this machine is I knew I had to have it. I immediately also registered for the meat grinder and pasta extruder as well.
So far I have made pizza dough, focaccia bread, and mashed potatoes. The flat black is very sharp and clean looking and the 5qt size is perfect to leave out on the countertop and not feel overwhelmed by its presence.
Seriously....just buy it. Makes so many other small kitchen appliances irrelevant!

Directions with Speeds and Times is NEEDED

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this mixer because I have arthritis in my hands and making dough by hand is now very painful BUT am having a lot of trouble getting specific speed and times for making dough in my KitchenAid Stand Mixer. I get a lot of general directions like "Do not mix it too long"... or "mix at a slow speed", "experiment with times".
I even purchased what I thought was specific to the mixer capabilities, a book titled "KitchenAid Stand Mixer Cookbook" and I am very disappointed. It is not a cookbook but instead just full of marking details and a ver few recipes. There is not even an index or table of contents so you can reference handy information.
