Not as reliable as we expected

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a very expensive product, that is supposed to ease your life. Well, supposedly.
We only tried to do some spread/mayo, three times so far. What it was supposed to be straight forward, turned into a 3 hours hard work trying to restore/fix, with a vertical and manual mixer, what this expensive mixer was supposed to do with ease. We don't trust this device anymore, it just sits on the counter taking up space. We might give it another try for the other features, hook dough maybe, but at this point we would happily return it or exchange it for a more reliable model.
The side metal band carrying the brand name is loose, I wanted to glue it in place, it won't stay. The plastic shield/protector barely stays in place, it is loose and not fit for purpose. Don't let the oil bottle rest on the pourer or you end up spilling oil everywhere. Where has the quality control gone KitchenAid?
We were considering extending the mixer with some more accessories, but we just won't do it for now. We spent enough on this brand, which we thought it's top, until it wasn't anymore.
So disappointed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I had bought another top brand before this one and it felt very unstable, so I sent it back and went for the best. Again, SO happy I did!! I like to bake and this makes the whole process so much easier than my handheld. I made my first homemade loaf of bread ever and hopefully will be the first of many. Thanks KitchenAid, I look forward to many years with this mixer.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Got this as a gift to replace my professional kitchen aid that was 16 years old. I was really worried that the bowl was too small and wasn’t sure I’d like the tilt back feature. The professional one has a lift. The new 5 qt is better than I expected and much quieter and smoother than my older one. I did buy a paddle with the rubber scraper attached because I did not like the metal paddle.
