Saves my wrists and prescious time!
Already have a scratch because this model does not have the ability to lock when lifted up so it scratched it :/

This is my third KitchenAid stand mixer. Started with the tilt head model, but got tired of pushing pin back in so in 2014 I replaced it with the bowl-lift model which was supposed to be all the rage. I often wonder if it might have even had a short, as while it states you need to lift speed control lever slight as you move across settings, it would need a little jiggle or press down on speed number to start or switch speeds. It died this yr just as I started Christmas baking so off to get a new one, but I went back to the motor head lift up version. I find this model much easier to work with and adding to your batter much easier with tilt head. Just hope the pin that the head swivels on is new and improved over the years and doesn't shake out after more use. I made cinnamon rolls first, but I find this mixer not as 'balanced' for weight on the base as my others seemed. Base lifting a little when kneading the dough. It did its job, the rolls turned out amazing. I didn't need to adjust beater height, it was touching all points on first go. I got a pouring shield with this model which I think will make adding ingredients a charm and look forward to trying it. One note I will add, I was rushing at Christmas, so ordered on line for in-store option which was wonderful. I went well out of my way to get the ink blue (I had a glossy navy blue I was replacing and loved) and while the picture I looked at looked identical, it wasn't til I got it home and unpacked that I realized it was more of a matte like finish which I find industrial..more cold looking and in some light this almost looks black. Could have had glossy black at a store 2 blocks away and used my $85 credit towards it. So check your colour in store before ordering if it's important. The colour selections are awesome

Dough hook started to peel - Poor quality

I bought a KitchenAid stand mixer two weeks ago and have used the dough hook just twice, yet it’s already peeling. For such an expensive product, this kind of poor quality is completely unacceptable, and I’m now debating whether to return it.

My Kitchenaid Mixer makes everything easier. Good quality, well made. If you are on the fence, just buy the thing. It is worth it.
