[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My husband and I weren’t really in the market for a new fridge at the time when we purchased our LG. We had a decently working side by side, but I personally hated it for the fact I could never have enough room. So when we stumbled upon an awesome deal at our local store for the LG bottom freezer double drawer we couldn’t pass it up and I am soooo happy we didn’t!! We have 2 kiddos, one that is a very energized outgoing 6 year old who I feel eats me out of everything the day I buy it and a fastly growing 2 year old. So between the 2 of them and my husband and I, we needed lots of space to store snacks and drinks. This fridge has it all. The second drawer comes in handy for the kids and the refrigerated snacks they like to have, it’s easy and convenient for them just open the drawer and grab a juice box, a string cheese or some yogurt if they’re hungry without having to bother mom or dad. Even the 2 year old can easily open the drawer. My next best thing about the fridge is the door in door option, who wouldn’t love this! How many kids stand there with the doors wide open staring in the fridge and just letting all the cold air out! Well with this option, it makes it much more convenient for the kids and the adults to just grab the milk or butter without having to open the entire fridge and leave things open forever!
Let’s talk about the freezer, another awesome feature about this model is the 2 sliding shelves that come with it besides the large storage bin. It makes things much easier for the kids to grab the quick frozen snacks like popsicles or breakfast items that are layed out in the shelf instead of having to dig through the large bin for things. I put the breakfast hot pockets and the grab and go pancakes on the top shelf and the kids can just reach in and grab them when they are ready. Same goes for when they want a popsicle! The slim in door ice maker saves a ton of space and really isn’t noticeable. I love the fact that there is 2 separate lever buttons for the ice and water so that you don’t need to push separate buttons to switch when you go from ice to water. Best spontaneous sale purchase ever!!!!!! Only downfall to this is the cost of the replacement filters, they are pretty expensive. Otherwise I’d recommend this fridge to anyone!!!!!

It's Broke... It's an LG what else would you expect? They sent me a repair guy who is not from LG that told me he can't diagnose it. He has no equipment to do it but tells me to shut it off restart maybe it will work lol.. He told me to call and get an LG tech only..Well I have been trying for 4 days to get a repair but can't since they haven't closed out the original repair that wasn't a real repair.
2nd LG refrigerator in 6 years. Never will buy one again

DO NOT BUY THIS FRIDGE!

After 4 years the compressor died and the sealed system was ruined. This is a known flaw. Warranty on parts only, so if goes out you will have to pay for repair labor unless you have an extended warranty ( we did). THAT was a nightmare and 2.5 months later we finally get reimbursement. Up to the point that the whole thing died it was a good fridge.

we bought this waisted so much money and it hasn't worked. LG won't help us to get it fix so we can still use it. if you don't buy a warranty they don't talk to you where you hopefully can pay to get it fix which should never be being this much i the first place. we will never buy LG again since they are not helping.

Quality is non-existent

Poor quality and numerous problems. Refrigerator is less than one year old. Three service calls so far; original problem still present and additional problems encountered after last service. LG support will not replace but will only continue to service for OPEN issues previously identified. I'll never buy another LG product.

Great features, until it fails

I love the design of this refrigerator, and was very happy with it for almost a year after I got it Sept 3, 2015 at Best Buy. Slightly less than 1 year later, it failed and I reported it to LG. After resetting, it came back for 2 weeks, when it failed for good. Now LG says it's outside the 1 yr warranty. I didn't buy a service plan. Two months later, after many enraging phone calls and long, long delays in between visits from a repairman, we got the authorization to have it replaced. This time, bought the service plan for $300. Ok, replacement arrived 11/27/16 (see how we went without a frig for Thanksgiving?). A couple times in the next two years, it stopped cooling, but when we unplugged it, it came back, until 4/25/19 (just over 2 years). This time, because of service plan, we got 4 prompt repair visits in the course of 2 weeks; repairman replaced the compressor among other things, but ran out of things to try, though the frig still doesn’t cool. Now a full week later and several phone calls (and too many times being disconnected after put on hold, then trying again and again) to try to get some action, I’ve been given authorization to replace it once more. But why would I want another? I absolutely don’t, but can’t find another at Best Buy that fits my kitchen with any better reviews or prospects. In the meantime, we’ve lost an awful lot of food (more than twice because of the intermittent failures), but the food spoilage claim process is difficult and capped at $200. And we’re told by Best Buy that getting another $300 protection plan for the next replacement is our responsibility. Would love to join class action lawsuit against LG. Anyone know how to join?

Compressor went out

We are very disappointed in our LG refrigerator. We've had it for 3 years and the compressor has already gone out. You said you'd cover the part but not the labor?? The labor is costing us more than it's worth at this point. We will never buy another LG product and we will let others know how disappointed we are with this product.
