Fridge with multiple problems-BAD customer service

THis fridge has been a nightmare! I called LG multiple times and their contract service with A&E repair is terrible. They have sent 2 technicians and replaced my compressor and it still doesn’t work!! I’m 10 days and still have a broken fridge.
LG does not care about their customers and show no signs of trying to help, this being my 2nd LG fridge and my 4th appliance.
Based on this experience with a broken product I would never recommend LG based on their terrible service and warranty.
My fridge random beeps(not the open door alarm), has the compressor replaced and my fridge is at 70 degrees and it spoiled $300 worth of food!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Keeps breaking down

Three times in three years this fridge has quit. Hard living without a fridge for weeks while waiting on parts. I would not recommend this product.

Great features without cooling

Bought this four years ago for $3,600 with a 10-year warranty on the compressor. Last week, it broke down and stopped cooling. After several phone calls to LG's customer service and talking with people in Philippines, they scheduled an appointment with A&E Factory services for five days later between the hours of 8 and 12. On the day, A&E called at 10 a.m., saying they could not make the appointment and had to reschedule for the afternoon of the following day or the morning of 10 days later. I could not have anyone at my home on those days and I could not do without a refrigerator for that long. I spent the rest of the morning calling and waiting on the phone to be told my only other option was an appointment for 8 days later, and buying a mini refrigerator for under $200 to keep my food in until A&E could repair my refrigerator.
Pros: Style/Design
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Beautiful but Poorly Made

I love the overall features of this refrigerator and its looks; unfortunately we have went through 2 compressor failures within the last year, and we have only owned this model less than 2 years. Our repair man said "LG refrigerators are known for having compressor issues. Had I known that prior to purchasing, I probably would have steered clear of the LG Brand. This model is cheaply made and LG you need to revisit the parts you are using as you are ripping off your consumers. This model is definitely not worth the costly price that you pay for it.
Pros: Style/Design, ease of use

We purchased this new 3 years ago and it's been a decent fridge for $3,000. Decent features, makes ice relatively quickly. It's quiet. The snack drawer and swing door are very nice. Until Friday night! Fridge and freezer stopped cooling. No warning, just a melted freezer and find out no cooling in either fridge or freezer section. I called our extended warranty (purchased thru Home Depot and service by LG) Saturday morning (after throwing out a ton of food). LG can't be bothered and apparently doesn't have the support to send someone to look at it (i.e. not fix, but look) for 2 weeks! Absolutely ridiculous. Last LG product we will purchase. And did I mention this fridge is only 3 years old. We are in Dallas - it's a relatively large city, but they have a single 3rd party service company. Some "guy and a pickup" is LG's only service offering and what if this guy goes on vacation or gets a flat tire... So I'm waiting for this clown LG found somewhere to show up (hopefully) in 2 weeks and (according to LG) to assess and then order parts for a future install. So if it takes 2 weeks to just look at it, I'm guessing another 2 or so weeks waiting for a compressor install. Wake up smell your failures!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve had this fridge for three years and it has been Great! My lone complaints have been the ice maker quickly runs out of ice. As well as our compressor blew out but was quickly replaced by LG customer support.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Had this fridge for a month and so far all is good. I realy like the ice maker and the freezer unit. My only complaiant is I cannot reach the top shelf at the back. It is quite deep and sticks out from the cabiinets about a foot. Also the shelf arrangement is not good , but most refigerators have the same problem

Don't waste your money, time and effort!

I bought this product and in a few years have had the compressor and different parts changed multiple times. It cools again for sometime and them warms up until all the ice melt and my food goes bad. I keep throwing all my food away. when you call for repair they will immediately mail you another compressor. It's almost as if they are expecting the fridge to break down.
I have had a very bad experience........ with the product and your technician....... I have requested for a third repair and have been given another week. I can't even cook for my family because there is no where to store the food or the produce. I have thrown all my food away.
