Looks great... right up until it fails...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased 7 new LG Appliances (including this model) a year ago, and in that time, 4 of the 7 have had major problems and down times. From the company that touts a 10 year compressor warranty and then ours goes out in 1 year... that should tell you something. These appliances look GREAT.. but they are terribly made!

Compressor went bad

I had my fridge for 2.5 years and it stopped cooling. Called to get it fixed and when the repair man came he asked what the problem was and i told him that nothing was cold. He told me without looking that this is a known issue with lg's and the problem is with a soldering the pipe to the compressor. They always leak due to lg not doing it right. Since there is freon leaking the compressor goes bad. In his experience this happens all the time when there is a problem. LG wont cover all of the labor now since its past the 1 year warranty. Very disappointed.
Pros: Style/Design

Not worth the expense!!!

We have had this refrigerator for 3.5 years. Just this last two weeks the ice maker has stopped working and now the fridge and freezer are not cooling properly. We are now waiting for a repair company to arrive to look at it and tell us what is going on with it. (After reading all the other reviews I am expecting them to tell us it is the condenser and fan.) After making such an investment that we have you would expect that the product will hold up to a t least 5 years. Disappointed!

Great features but Poor quality!

Had been very happy with it until Jan 1, 2019 when I noticed cracks appearing across the top of the Custom Chill Drawer. No we have not caused the cracks, never dropped anything on it which is what LG was implying. LG sent out a service tech and when he called LG and even told them it looked like a defect in the plastic on the drawer they told him it was cosmetic and I would have to pay $500.00 for a whole new drawer! For the high price we paid and the short time we had it LG should cover their products. My daughter has the exact same fridge for 3 years and also has 7 kids and her drawer has no cracks. I’m in the market to purchase an induction range but will not even consider an LG product since the quality is no longer in their products. I tried posting a review back in January but it was never posted.

Needs bigger ice quarry but love the wide shelves

This is definitely a luxury refrigerator. Didn't think I was going to like the freezer on the bottom but with labeled organizational bins it really works for me. But I also have an entire different freezer out in the garage. The door shelves on the left side are thin but plenty of room on the inside. And I need that at the holidays! The biggest negative is that it doesn't hold a lot of ice. So I run it out in the mornings and store it for bigger needs like the weekends.

I have had this refrigerator for over a month and totally love it. LOTS of room and great features. Love that I can change the temp on the pull out drawer, and am able to adjust the size in the drawer and in the refrigerator any time I want. The extra door is so handy to put drinks, condiments. Just love this refrigerator.

Breaks Often!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this exact model in 2015. It's been repaired 3 times now with a 4th in process. It's been the same issue each time - it won't keep the food cool. Freezer goes up to 30* and fridge section up to 50*. If you do buy one - get an extended warranty or you'll regret it!
