Keep food fresher, longer.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this in October of 2015 and its been wonderful. I was surprised with how much longer food stays fresh from our old 2012 top freezer model. The space in side is perfect for entertaining and the independently controlled drawer is perfect for kids, meat or hordourves and wine. Love this fridge! That being said, in January of 2018 I noticed all the ice cubes melted and dropped water on the floor and on top of the mid drawer. I cleaned it up thinking nothing of it. Reset the ice and went about my day. Later that night there wad still no ice. Turned off the ice maker and would address in the morning. By morning all items in the fridge were warm and everything in the freezer was defrosted. Quite the mess and loss of money! We got a repair person out and turns out a sensor went bad and told the compressor to not turn off. All components froze to the point it all stopped working. Apparently parts are very hard to get a hold of. We live in Denver's metro area and shouldn't have problems getting parts in such a large city. We had to go out and get a small fridge (top freezer) for the garage until parts for the LG come in, hopefully about a week. The parts are inexpensive, just have to wait longer than I think we should for them to be installed. I would still recommend this fridge, maybe keep a couple of sensors on hand though!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We wanted to replace an older LG that was in our house when we bought it last year. We decided on this new LG based on its features and in positive brand ratings and reviews. We are extremely happy with the purchase. The door-in-door feature and the convenience drawer mean that we hardly have to open the main refrigerator doors any more! If we want a drink we go to the outer door, if we need butter or cheese it’s in the convenience drawer. Not only is this convenient, it is energy efficient too! We were amazed how much more space it has than our old 27 foot model, even though it fits in the same footprint in our kitchen. Some have complained about he icemaker capacity but it is just fine me for us and the icemaker chills fast and works great. I have nothing bad to say about this purchase, we love and highly recommend our new refrigerator.
