[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I spent a good deal of time researching various makes and models before purchasing the LG 30 cu ft 4 door refrigerator to replace my 30 year old 27 cu ft side-by-side. There is quite a list of great features;
1) The Customchill™ Drawer. Being able to set the temps independent of the main compartment is a real plus. It seems like most of the new refrigerators lack a dedicated meat drawer but, the cooler settings of the Customchill™ Drawer cover that nicely.
2) Door in a door. I can't say enough about this feature. I had a similar setup in my old one and the door in a door was a must have for me. Being able to access commonly used items (including (2) gallon sized containers) without opening the main compartment is not only handly but, an energy saver as well.
3) Ice maker. A very slim unit that resides solely in the door. So thin that it still has room for shelves for small items. I also prefer the nice, small, square cubes vs the larger crecents that many other units produce.
4) Quality of design and build. You can see that everywhere; from the smooth rolling main shelf, to the drawers (including the 3 crispers!), to the door and drawer releases, to the roll back shelf for tall items, and the little compartments which make use of every inch of space. The list goes on and on.
5) Freezer compartment. In most refrigerators you usually find a large bin and a single drawer. This unit has an additional low profile, full-width drawer for easy access of pizzas, or small items like icecream bars or popcicles.
This is an outstanding refrigerator and I would highly recommend it to anybody. However, all those great features come a price, which is why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 for value.
There is one feature that really I miss with my old one which no manufacturer seems to offer. It had 5 containers (2 large and 3 small) that hung from one of the shelves. Being microwave and oven safe (to 400 degrees) made them great for leftovers. Plus, since they were suspended from the shelf, you never had to dig around to find them. LG, add that and you have the perfect refrigerator!

With that capacity of a fridge that size surely there could be a larger capacity ice maker and the door spaced should be wider and be able to put y’all salad dressings etc.. also there should be 2 shelves that roll back for extended heights !! Other than those things I love it !!!

Love the multiple drawers in the freezer as well. Our small town also has horrible smelling and tasting water due to the amount of chlorine used and the in door water dispenser has such an amazing filter that it is able to completely filter out the smell and terrible taste. LOVE the fresh tasting water it provides!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We replaced an LG 30.9 cu ft refrigerator when it was damaged by lightning. Even though this frig is 29.6 cu ft, it seems larger than the old one because of the way it works. The slide out drawer gives well lit access for things we use often. And the partial drawer lets us get milk and drinks out of the frig without opening the inside - very convenient. We know we got the right frig. It is not inexpensive, but it is well worth it.

It is easy to clean, the water filter is super easy to change and the deli drawer and the “quick grab” door are two of my favorite features. We lost power not too long ago for about 24 hours, and to our amazement, the freezer maintained its temperature (the freezer drawer was not opened during the outage). There was a partial half gallon of ice cream in the freezer that showed no signs of softening or melting.
