We shopped around at several stores looking for the best quality and best appearance for the money.. We decided on the black stainless steel because fingerprints were not readily apparent as a regular stainless steel.
— after looking at many different brands and styles, we came upon this refrigerator and noticed a remarkable difference between the other ones which we thought were “pretty good” until we seen this.
— We are so satisfied with our refrigerator we told all of our adult children to be sure to get this one on their next purchase . One of our children lost all their belongings in a house fire recently and are just now getting ready to purchase all new kitchen appliances.
— we told her she must absolutely buy this same refrigerator and she would not regret it Or find a better deal because we looked.
— my wife mentions often how she is so satisfied with the purchase of our new refrigerator .

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Not sure why...maybe because we live in Las Vegas but the refrigerators we have had in the past the ice maker either produced so little ice or no ice at all we just purchased bags of ice. Now we have not only clear great trading ice but actually more ice than we need. I just bag it and put into the freezer to save for future party or family get together!! Thank you!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought my LG refrigerator about two weeks ago after my existing one died unexpectedly. Was a bit stressful to be purchasing “under the gun” but after a few days of looking I honed in on this LG French Door refrigerator not only because of its classy appearance but more so due to its functionality. My previous fridge was a side by side. This model has amazing upper fridge space as well as a great chiller drawer with adjustable, sliding separators. The really cool feature is the Door in Door...we love this for accessing milk, juice, coffee creamer..all those items you like easy access to without having to open the entire door. Some comments state the ice cubes are small, which is true, but we have not found this to be an issue with 4 family members using it daily. For gatherings with more people just make some ahead of time and store in the huge freezer compartment. This is another great feature with two sliding drawers and another sliding separator in the lower compartment. My only negative is door storage space. I use a fair amount of condiments and I ended up having to put some of them in the main part of the fridge. My old side by side could accommodate all of it. Not a huge issue however. Overall love this refrigerator!

Watch out for the faulty compressor

I have had my refrigerator for only 2 years and the compressor has gone out. It is extremely costly to fix and the repair person said that many times it goes out again within a year. This was too expensive of a refrigerator to have to pay high repair costs every year. There was a class action lawsuit but I believe it was dismissed. It is a shame that LG on their own cannot have a recall on these compressors and fix them once and for all. I am fixing mine one time and if it goes out again I will buy a new refrigerator....but never again an LG. They know the compressors are bad so they should also cover the labor costs!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We’ve had this refrigerator for about a month now and are very happy with it. It is HUGE! The only problem I have is reaching the back of the top shelf and I’m 5’ 5”. For this reason, I wish the pull out shelf was on top instead of the bottom. Overall I’m glad we made this purchase.
