This refrigerator looks amazing, and that's all its good for. LG should be ashamed of this product. It clearly can't not operate for more than one year. I purchased this refrigerator in June 2017 (LOWES) and the compressor went bad after one year. My only saving grace was that the Lowes employee who highly recommend and insisted I purchase the Extended Protection Plan (EPP). He said, trust me you'll be glad you did. And boy, was he right. The EPP was great, and they scheduled technicians right away. The LG service technician was also great, and said that the components they are using today are just plain garbage. Its too bad! I won't be buying another LG frig, or Samsung for that matter. The Lowes salesman said they are even worse. Now fast forward another year. Same issue for the second year in a row. The frig stopped working yet again. This is unbelievable, how can $2,000 dollar product only work for one year. It is totally unacceptable! LG you need to evaluate the product you're producing and have some darn QA.

Piece of Junk

We purchased this product in 2015. We were happy for it at first. After 14 months it stopped cooling. 2 months out of it's original 1 year labor warranty. I paid $325 to have it repaired through LG. 2 months later it went out again. After 2 more trips to my house the technician said that it was repaired. Now 2 1/2 years later on April 28, 2019, it is out again. The first technician came out on May 3 and said it needed parts he did not have. He closed the ticket. I called and started the process over. They scheduled a repair for May 15, 2019. On May 15, I received a call that the repair would be delayed until May 24, 2019. After calling LG back I was told there was nothing that could be done until May 24. In 4 years of owning this over priced piece of scrap metal I have lost all of my groceries 3 times. I currently own 4 LG products, but will never buy another one
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been pleased with having an incredibly organized frig and freezer. I wish they had made the freezer compartment slightly larger and a little less frig, but overall I’m tickled pink.
