[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought and compared top of the line refrigerators. LG out distanced the competition by a mile. The features of the door in a door for quick reach beverages is something I really like. I am using the third drawer for wine storage and the temperature is spot on I am also like the fact that the ice maker is in the door which frees up the refrigerator space for large platters.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We love our refrigerator! The Chill Zone drawer is off the hook! It saves us in space and Sanity! When you have kids that stand with the door open looking forever for something to eat! This way they can just open the Chill Zone drawer and grab their favorites! We also love the preview door! Coffee creamers, ketchup and mustard are always right at your fingertips and not pushed to the back of the refrigerator!

NO ONE STANDS BY THIS. FRIDGE STARTED HAVING TROUBLE BEFORE 2 YEARS. CALLED AND THEY SAID NOTHING WRONG. CHECKED THE CODES. HAD A HOME WARRANTY SO THEY PUT IN TWO MOTHER BOARDS AND 4 NEW FAN MOTORS. Had the people I bought it from come out and they just told me to buy a new fridge, because it wouldn't be worth it to fix. I wish I wouldn't have spent so much on something that wasn't going to last

Biggest Piece of Garbage Ever

We bought this model less than 2 years ago and we are now in our 2nd Compressor issue. The problem is that here in Dallas/Fort Worth, there is NO Appliance company that will service the 10 year compressor warranty because LG won't pay them in a timely fashion and some don't get paid at all. This is the 2nd time in 2 years that we have lost ALL the food in our fridge and freezer and LG WILL NOT compensate us, nor will expedite or work with parts to help in the issue. Last November when this happened, we were without our fridge for a month, waiting on LG and appliance repair people. So far, we are going on week 2 and no help in sight. SO far I've called 15 appliance repair people and they all want me to pay for everything up front and for LG to reimburse me!

Stopped cooling after 30 months

I love this fridge and its features. What I don't like is that after 30 months the fan stopped working and it is no longer cooling in the fridge space. Freezer is fine. The service guy said this is common and may require the controller board to be replaced. This is ridiculous within the first 3 years. My last Kenmore lasted over 10 years and is still going strong at my son's house. After paying over $3500 for this fridge, I would expect higher quality or better engineering.

Horrible. Loud and won’t cool...

Owned this fridge for 5 weeks and I hate it. It’s huge which is great but it sounds like a lawnmower in my house. I can hear it on my second level with the door shut...it has been set at 35 degrees but the thermometer they provided says 40degrees. The smart diagnostics is cool. The fridge told customer service that indeed it was only keeping it 39-42 degrees while set at 35. They also told me I was opening the door too much and that was why it wasn’t cold. The LG expectation is <30 openings per day so only 15 times can you take out and replace food. With a family of 5, we each get 3 tries. So basically they made a fridge I can’t open but hate to listen to and it’s all my fault. Trying to get a refund from the store I bought it at. Absolute garbage.
