Mostly satisfied, a few niggles

After 3 weeks with this fridge, we are happy with the way it fills the space allotted and the roominess inside. The entire fridge is easy to keep clean. Freezer and fridge space is sufficient, but we would like adjustable shelves on the door and an open second shelf up next to the dairy keeper for shorter frequently used items. We will get a cold-water dispenser next time if it is inside like on our previous fridge--with curious cats, we don't need them to have exterior access to water/ice. The ice maker keeps us supplied with all we can use; we are getting used to its noise during fill/empty cycles. The full-width clear bin hanging under one shelf is great storage. Lighting is good up front but could be better at the backs of shelves--perhaps one LED toward the center backs on the side walls or a strip of LEDs running from front to back, whatever would work to keep the adjustable feature of the shelves. The chevron design on the bottom of door shelves is very attractive and helps distribute light when full upper shelves cast shadows.

After 2 years an LG factory service person (not the fake contractors) came out and reset the doors so they swung toward the fridge instead of out. The shelf braces need to be thinner as they compromise internal space. The ice maker is a compromise and will run out fairly quick if you like your ice. The water isn’t that cold out of the dispenser. Otherwise a very nice product if you can live with these quirks you will still have one of the best freezer compartments in the market.

Love the extra room

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I replaced an aging 24 cu ft side by side refrigerator and the difference in size is amazing - externally they're almost the same size, it's like that tent in Harry Potter. The only downside is that the temperature it's set at is at best that temp in the coldest spot of the fridge and the majority of the fridge is 3-4 degrees higher, more so in the door-in-door section, there it's 5-6 degrees higher. Other than that a great unit.

Plenty of usable space !

Rated high on all points compared to other top freezers. Love the fridge, very roomy, ice maker is the best I ever seen. I would recommend this fridge to . Also its very energy efficient. #1 in my book.
