I bought less than 2 years ago, first year the ice maker stop working. I am continuing having problem with the bottom freezer with ice build up and makes it very hard to open. At anytime large pieces of ice falls out the bottom.
Pros: Style/Design, easy to use
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

horrible product. New brain after 1 year 3 mon, no longer under warranty. Has major issues with error codes e rf. refridgerator fan ices up every few months and bottom drawer is 18 degrees and all food in it freezes. have to thaw out fan way too often.

Pretty good fridge needing some tweaks

We bought this model to replace our 19 year old refrigerator; hope this one and all its components stay strong and last that long. LOVE the extra room and the light in the freezer. I did my homework, but a number of things need tweaking:
- Not even 24 hours and the butter tray cover almost broke... it doesn't fit a regular tub of butter and it got jammed because I could close it, but then it wouldn't open. This is not a butter compartment. It needs another 1/2 inch high/wide.
- The ice cube maker is loud when it drops ice cubes and the container is empty... I mean LOUD. Not so bad once more ice cubes fill up the container... Maybe add more sound proofing.
- The alarm that dings when either door has been left open too long is rather annoying... just trying to unload groceries.
- I thought I was buying a stainless fridge that was fingerprint resistant - this is HORRIBLE as fingerprint smudges really do show.
- Why are the shelves glassy material; the hard, thicker white plastic is hardier. Reviews say that they break easily. Sure as heck hope not since I just spent over $1K on this fridge.
- One suggestion that I already was expecting --- add another tray/shelf to the right of the butter compartment.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This is only 3 years old. The freezer fan went out and there is literally no one in my area that works on LG.

Needs repairs every few months

Our ice maker stops working every few months. We’ve had this refrigerator for about 3 years and we’ve had the technician in many times! The ice maker malfunctions about every 6 months. The refrigerator stopped cooling and freezing completely last winter. It takes weeks to get parts. I would never buy another LG appliance again.
