[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The fridge itself is nice, the door in door feature is convenient. Unfortunately it stopped cooling after only 2-3 years of ownership. Similar models manufactured just before ours were the subject of a class action lawsuit for similar failures. Luckily for us, LG honored the warranty and replaced the compressor at their cost.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My refrigerator worked fine for four years, then the 5th year the condenser, drier, evaporator, and compressor needed to be replaced. 3 months later the refrigerator needed to be repaired again with a new motherboard. Not happy!

It has a larger capacity than our old one and fits perfectly in our enclosed space. My favorite feature is the top freezer our last one had the bottom freezer. We are seniors and the bending or kneeling to get to the freezer with no shelves just a big basket and digging through looking for what we wanted was hard on our back and knees. The top freezer with shelves and door compartments is not only easier on our bodies much also much easier to find what we are looking for. Great appliance at a Super price!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Fridge has lots of room with excellent lighting in all compartments! Appliance fits well with our other stainless appliances. Only draw back is finish is not fingerprint resistant, so constant wiping off is common place. Excellent design which allows storage of almost any item. Keep wireless thermometer in fridge section, and so far has maintained an average of 35F. Freezer also maintains around 15F at current setting. Only real con so far is that when ice maker fills, I get a water leak from somewhere, despite no leaks at water line connections....more investigating to be had.

I have been very happy with my LG frig, except for some noise issues. I have a friend with the exact same frig, only a few years older. He has different noise issues. LG is working on resolving this in a timely manner.

I assume that is just because of the difference in design, but it my side by side was always looked about 75% full and my new one looks about 25 full. It looks great--I like that there are no hand;es on the door. It is really quiet.
