Don’t buy LG appliances (refrigerator)

LG fridge sealed parts failed, it has happened to my sister my friend and now me, all of our fridges failed in 2 or 3 years never buy LG
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Compressor failed in 4 years

4 years after purchase fridge decided to quit on making ice and freezing; technician came to fix it, replaced the compressor but two weeks later the top portion is not keeping its cool. It’s 64F inside instead of programmed 33F

Disappointment

I purchased brand new in the box and was extremely happy! Less than a year later the control panel started to de-laminate. I originally thought it was the kids spilling water, until I caught the fridge randomly tinkling water out on its own. 5 years in my icemaker quit working. Then right before Thanksgiving, the whole refrigerator quit working. I did purchase another LG refrigerator. Hopefully it works better. Considering the cost of refrigerators today one would think they would last longer than 10years. My 90’s refrigerator is still rocking hard in the garage.

Faulty water dispenser ran for 4 hours overnight!

For the majority of the time I have had this fridge I have been happy however in the middle of the night two nights ago the water dispenser decided to turn on by itself with no one awake flowing water into my kitchen for approximately 4 hours without stopping. Needless to say the mess in the kitchen took hours to clean however the biggest problem is the flow of water down into my basement totally ruining my drywalled ceiling and multiple walls. Then the floor down there is also completely ruined as well due to the amount of water that poured into it for hours and simply replacing the water damaged areas is not an option. Whole floor will need to be replaced! Why would there not be a safety shutoff when the system senses the water running for a ridiculously long time? Seems like that should be a standard. Needless to say this issue is going to cost me thousands of dollars!

Terrible refrigerator

We have had nothing but issues with this product. The ice maker has went out numerous times and it has always made a loud noise. Now it has stopped cooling all together and I have thrown out hundreds of dollars worth of food. In the progress now of trying to find someone to fix it.
