Refrigerator gave out on me stopped freezing and cooling called them because i had warranty. It's been 2 weeks and nothing. First they gave the repairman the wrong address so they had to reschedule me, then they schedule me for Tuesday and when Tuesday came nothing I call again and they said the scheduling department was closed they would call me Wednesday. Wednesday came and lady called me and left me a voicemail saying she can schedule me for Friday. I call back and they say they can't transfer me to her so I have to wait for her to call me back. She never calls so Thursday I call again they say they can't schedule me until the following Tuesday. I asked to speak to a manager and was on hold for 15 min with no answer I hang up call again. Then was left in hold for 30 min. Hung up called again they tell me they can't schedule me in they don't see when the next appt is I ask to speak to a manager and was left on hold for 40 min. And still haven't received no appointment and haven't been able to talk to a manager. This service sucks.

Worked great ... until it didn't

We bought this refrigerator in September 2016 (2.7 years ago) and it just stopped working. Our local and highly skilled repair service says it needs a new compressor. The good news is the compressor part is covered by a 10 year warranty. The bad news, it will cost me $600 for labor to replace it. I have a Whirlpool 17 year old "extra" refrigerator in the garage that just keeps on running so it amazes me that this $2,600 high-end LG gave up the ghost in just under three year. Very disappointed. Up until now, I was very pleased with this LG refrigerator, it's features and it's performance.

Don't buy LG

I purchased my LG LFXS30766S refrigerator in Sept 2015. It died over the weekend. Repairman came out to see if it could be fixed. The condenser is shot and freon is leaking. His suggestion was to buy a new fridge vs. repairing it. How can a top-end refrigerator that I paid over $2500 break in 4 years? My strong suggestion is to stay away from LG product!!!

Glass shelf exploded!
on November 16, 2019

from Fort Myers, Fl
I was cleaning the glass shelf that is over the crisper and it exploded into a million pieces right in my hand. Shot glass splinters across the room. Lucky it did not get in my eyes. Did give me abrasions on my hands and legs. The fridge is just over a year old. I went by Bill Smith's Appliance in Fort Myers, where I bought the fridge as was told it is a cosmetic problem, too bad. I called LG and got nowhere. NOTHING will be done to replace the glass. I looked on line and this seems LG seems to have a problem with exploding tempered glass shelves. I consider this dangerous problem and someone one should address this issue before someone loses an eye. They say this is not a warnety issue. This is not a consumer or warrnety issue, this is a FAULTY GLASS issue. I cleaned the glass with cool wanter and a soft paper towel. How can it explode like that? Now I can't find the replacement for the glass on line. NOT HAPPY!

Previous model was the Best.

I loved this refrigerator. I had no problems with it except the top shelf plastic border got cracked which did not impair its function but I replaced it and had no issues with the replacement. It also had an ice maker and no water dispenser (which I did not want) BUT no water filter for the ice maker. I bought it 2018 and had it for 6 years. I never had any issue with the fridge freezing over or the freezer frosting over. I found the temperature to be true to its settings. When I bought the LTCS24223S it was the largest capacity top freezer available in my area and fit my kitchen perfectly. I loved the feet because I could easily adjust them to move the unit when I cleaned the vents in the back. It was also very quiet. When I moved I could not bring it with me so I decided to buy a new one and guess what. This model has been "upgraded" to a newer model. The upgrade has an optional ice maker and an internal water dispenser AND filter. That is where the upgrade ends. It has less storage shelving. There used to be a third shelf on the bottom of the door where I could store my bags of flour. It is gone. There used to be a meat drawer under the middle shelf. Which actually was great for storing delicate produce and cheese. It kept the items fresher longer. It is gone. The light in the freezer is gone. Quite frankly I fail to see where this is an upgrade except for the internal water dispenser and water filter. I would call it more of a trade off. I would not buy the new model because it no longer suits my storage needs. I wish the old model was still available.

Disappointing!

This brand and model was purchased in February of 2016. In July of 2016 I had to call LG due to a large amount of ice build up behind the Glide and Serve Drawer. Received instructions how to care for this. In November of 2017 the unit, top and bottom, would not cool or freeze. The ONE year warranty through LG was expired. Thankfully, due to the large cost of this model, we chose to purchase an extended warranty. I contacted the extended warranty company, Consumer Priority Service. I had to wait while they located a repair shop in my area. This happened on November 17, 2017. I had to make numerous calls between the Warranty company and the service provider. Was given an appointment a week and half later. The technician came to diagnose the problem. He believed it to be a filter valve. He left after 15 minutes. The part was shipped to my home and 9 days later the Technician returned to install the part. However, the replaced part did not fix the problem. The new diagnosis is a possible a bad compressor. I called back to the warranty company and left 3 messages with no return call as of yet. My disgust is that a large appliance that we purchased from what we thought was a reputable brand, couldn't even last more than 2 years without something catastrophic happening. I would not recommend this model to anyone.

I Like my new refrigerator
on February 14, 2015

I like it! Every once in a while I'll ask my wife if I've told her lately that I like the new fridge. I love the BIG, roomy inside refrigerator and freezer areas. And the full width drawer is great too. The storage on the door is great too. It is not cut-up into fancy looking little sections that can't really hold much of anything. It's the real deal. And it fits into my 33" space. And it works great too, & I like the LED light. I had been looking for a new Stainless steel refrigerator for almost two years, all different styles, then I finally saw this one. At first I thought the depth might make it stick out from the counter to far, but it's fine. And my dog knows how to open this style fridge, so I didn't feel like I was taking that away from him(or me), but he doesn't open it, I think maybe because it seals so tightly. And in the dark, the blue clock-LED on the microwave looks pretty cool the way it reflects off the fridge too. OK that;s probably enough. Oh, have I told you lately that I like our new refrigerator?!
Pros: Performance, Style/Design, easy to use, Features/Settings, Quality, lots of space-finally a common-sense design
I would recommend this to a friend!

This product is so convenient

The door in door feature is so convenient. We put milk, creamers, meds in this space. You don't have to open the whole refrigerator for a drink. Great if you have kids also. The lighting in our fridge is wonderful and we have lots of space. The freezer section has 2 sliding drawers for all kinds of goodies. We would recommend this fridge because it is well made and worth every cent we paid for it. Kudos to LG.
