[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The unit works well as for cooling and available space. There is a major issue when the doors have to be switched from a right to left opening. The hinges do not allow the switch without the refrigerator door opening pass the door stop causing a noticeable popping when the door is closed. The popping has also popped the paint off of the door around the lower hinge. When the unit was delivered the team advised the popping issue is a prevenient problem with this model.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great fridge lots of room, love the design of it but, barely made it a lil over two years. The compressor went out in the fridge and we were without one for two weeks, thank god LG covered the warranty and the repairman came and figured out what was wrong and put in a new compressor on the spot!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Pros: I love this fridge. Its very attractive, has huge well organized storage capacity that makes accessing produce easy. For an indoor ice box we rarely run out of ice and it replenishes quickly. Finish is streak free and easy to clean.
Cons: the finish looks like its rubbing off on some of the edges (bends on metal), this started around year 2.5. At 4 years old, this still felt new to us but the cooling system failed. (Parts were covered under warranty - so thank you LG for that)

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased this fridge 2 years ago and is a great fridge. My first LG product. I'm now waiting for repairman to come and fix ice maker that will not let water run into the tray but over spills on back and runs on floor. Also enamal is peeling in small spots where you put your hand to open the fridge - sounds like a recall for enamal to me but otherwise is a great fridge so far.

I wasn't expecting my old unit to go down when it did, I was hoping it would have lasted just two more years because I would have been in a better place financially to afford a LG side by side. I really didn't want this style but living in a rural area, you get what you can get. After having it delivered, I was so impressed with its storage size and the internal lighting is impressive. I very pleased with it and hope for many years of service.
