I like my refrigerator but……

Then a soft wear update and everything froze in the unit. Then the outside panel of control buttons stopped working. Finally, the linear condenser stopped working. Unit is only 8 years old.

Really good Refrigerator and good LG Service

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this refrigerator in Jun 2018. It is a great frig. Some complain about the ice maker in refrigerators, but this one is great. You, of course, need to empty it once in a while if you don't use ice much, otherwise with the refrigerator defrost scenario, the ice maker may get ice stuck in it. I really like this frig. I had to have the compressor replaced since it quit. The LG technician replaced it very quickly, maybe a month ago now, it is working fine again. Cost me nothing since it was on warrantee. The tech put a new upgraded compressor with new software. I am a happy camper. I am giving this frig a five star because it is a good unit and LG supported me well. Thank you.

Several problems after about 2 years

Due to placement of certain components this unit gets ice buildup and stop cooling. I have to defrost the unit every couple of months. We have had several parts replaced. Also, identifying and getting parts is difficult as the literature available for the product not complete.
