I regret making this purchase this fridge has broken down ever year since the year we bought it LG should have replaced it or refunded our money for it I will never buy another LG Refrigerator

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bough this in 2015, 7 years ago. IT has survived 3 young kids 6,7,& 9 years old living with us without any problems. I did damage the freezer door while moving it in as it would not fit through the doors of my older house, LG was out the next day to repair it! 7 years later we had a lightning storm hit the house and the compressor went out. LG was out the next day to replace it under warrantee! Good products and service!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After 9 months, so far, so good. Have had 2 issues and would have given it 5 stars if the 2 issues didn't happen within 1 year:
1. Refrigerator door seal had a tear in the upper left corner, repaired by LG, must remember to open the door at the top of the door, not the side. Very easy to replace the seal.
2. The freezer shelf is bowing & got a replacement. Several people have mentioned that the shelves are not that strong & I agree. The repair folks said that the freezer shelf bow was not covered by any warranty, but LG overrode and sent me one. See the attached picture of a straight edge against the shelf. We don't put too much on this shelf either.
3. The linear compressor reliability is well discussed, but the warranty of 5-10 years is great.
Other than that, it's got amazing space, love the top freezer over a bottom, super quiet, easy on energy consumption. I also moved the deli drawer-shelf up 1 shelf so I could get a better visible on what's on the lower shelf

I like the set we purchased but for what you pay makes you wonder. Servocr guy came and I said I'm shocked it quit working for how much you pay. He said I hear that every day why are you surprised not made to last.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We really like the door-in-door, the ice/water unit, separate freezer & the ability to use without a filter (using RO).
What I really hate is that the condenser broke within 5yrs, there were water leaks in the bottom tray, a bit of noise.
I’ve never been able to connect to my 2.4ghz Wi-Fi at all!
LG’s customer service & technician are awesome though

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This specific refrigerator malfunctioned and another one (same model) was delivered on 2/11/2017. The second (new) one is now waiting on a compressor (it went out on 6/2/2022) that might be delivered today (6/21/2022). When it works, this refrigerator is great, but by now, I lost a full refrigerator worth of food (again) and I still don't have the part! I hope this compressor will last longer than 4 years!
