[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the features of this LG model refrigerator. I looked for a couple months before I came across this one. I simply had to have it! It checked all the "what I want in a refrigerator" boxes. Honestly, this has been my favorite appliance purchase of my entire life. The only complaint I have is the linear compressor failure. My parent's refrigerator lasted them 20+ years. Unfortunately, that doesn't hold true in my case. Zero longevity has caused me much grief and disappointment

Slow ice maker when you have family over

6 years and no issues, until this month. It suddenly developed a freon leak and quit cooling. Thankfully, I bought the extended warranty and it was repaired, 2 weeks later. It is now better than new. The ice maker had a very hard time trying to keep up during the holidays

I have had my fridge for 8 years and this is the 3rd time it has been repaired. I love the size and settings of the fridge but I don't really trust the quality.

But I couldn't identify it because they said it was normal, which wasn't the case, the defroz didn't work. Before the year passed but when I found the problem the year of repair had already passed. and I have other LG products for years but this one came out defective

Gasket failed and split

This model keeps food at correct temperature and is spacious. After 1 year the door shelf bottom cracked. After4 years the gasket/seal on the door failed. It totally flattened at the top of door and has a split in the gasket.Two person usage, no children . We ordered new gaskets today and I was shocked at the price and the price charged for postage. I owned a different brand of refrigerator for 23 years… and the gaskets did Not fail . We are really disappointed with this unit. It is 5 years old. That being said, we’ve owned a LG front loading washer that is 13 years old and runs like a champ, never had an issue with the washer. We felt confident in purchasing a LG refrigerator. Hoping there are no other issues with this refrigerator.
