I will never buy another LG refrigerator. We've had nothing but problems with it. Looks nice and has a good layout but get the fundementals fixed...like an ice maker that works, compressor that doesn't fail (2 in 5 years), and refrigerant lines that don't leak. We paid for a 5 yr. warranty and 4 mo. after it expired it failed.

Horrible Compressor Problems

We are now waiting for the compressor to be replaced for the second time. It has been 3 weeks and they are estimating 2 more weeks. This is the second time we've had to throw away the food in the refrigerator and freezer. As you know, that is very expensive.

Refrigerator not getting cold.

This refrigerator is approximately 4 years old and for the last year the refrigerator portion has had problems cooling sufficiently. I have taken it apart several times and it was due to icing up. More recently it is running warm, approximately 50º. It's not frosting up but still above what it should be.

Not easy to maintain

The latch on the secondary door is poor and does not always latch. The compressor has failed twice. Calls to LG result in referrals to contractors that do not service LG. LG then offers a service of their own that is more comprehensive than needed. We are looking at several weeks to a month with no LG refrigerator. Good we had a small backup.
