Spacious and cool!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We love our new fridge. While I can't say what the test of time will do to it, it works really well for us 2 weeks into the installation. The lighting is nice and the space is very open. The shelves and drawers are easy to move around. The automatic ice maker works great and knows when the tray is full. The doors close on their own when they are partially open and the refrigerator beeps when it is left open for an extended period of time. I have not had time to look into the maintenance application, but I am intrigued by these feature.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this refrigerator a month ago and so far it is very nice. We like the size - it fit in our fairly narrow space but still has a very good capacity. It holds the temperatures very well in the freezer and the refrigerator sections. It has a lot of refrigerator space compared to our previous 21 cu ft refriegerator. The shelves are nice and wide and are adjustable. The LED lights are very nice.
Some suggestions for improvement:
1. Make the door shelves adjustable
2. Add another door compartment next to the butter compartment for eggs or other things. The space is there to include that and it would be very handy.
3. Make the doors so they close if you just let them go or give them a small push. Our old refriegerator worked that way and it was very nice. WIth this refrigerator, we have to give the doors a pretty hard push to get them to close. If you don't give a hard push, the door stops when it is still open about 6". Fortunately there is an alarm so we do notice that it is open. But I really liked the way our old refrigerator worked.
4. Make the freezer a little bigger and the refrigerator a little smaller. This refrigerator is 3 cu ft bigger than our old one, but the extra 3 cu ft is all in the refrigerator. The freezer is about the same size as the old one.

Quit working less than 3 years old

Biggest piece of junk we have EVER purchased!!! We will never buy LG again! Compressor went out in less than 3 years!! Food spoiled. Had to purchase new refrigerator. When it was running, the ice machine was slow and the water on the outside of the door splashed everytime you filled your glass.

Going on my third repair in three years

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We were so happy purchasing this fridge as it had all the bells and whistles we wanted. However, having to get this repaired really has taken its toll on our feelings about LG. After a compressor issue, the Auger Assembly has gone out on us for the second time and we shouldn't have to repair this again (2 months past warranty for the previous fix).
Very unhappy with product and support. This should not happen only 4 years into the life of the appliance.

Failed at two years

Poor service!

We have had our refrigerator for one month. The door handle was damaged during shipping. We spent 2 hours on the phone one day and 6 hours on the phone the next day trying to get a person to report this to. Finally I tried contacting via email. They asked for the serial number and I thought terrific I am making headway on getting a replacement handle. Then there was silence. I have sent repeated emails requesting an update. We have heard absolutely nothing since I reported the damage. I could understand if it takes a couple weeks to get the handle, just let me know the situation. The lack of information and lack of communication is exasperating . It is difficult to open the refrigerator with the damaged handle. It is so frustrating that I it overshadows everything else. So the rating is
low because of the very poor service.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
